Update 5/25/2023:

Hi Vanyo relatives!

 

 

I am glad to have this chance to say Hi and give you a brief update on the Vanyo Family Heritage Addition Book!

 

 

As of May, 2023, and since the reunion itself, I have worked on the book another 500 hours and a we have a total of well over 1,000 pages.  This includes family research in Slovakia that I've been able to do through church records.  There are thousands of pages of records and I've been fortunate to find some of our ancestors!  Besides that our family Vanyo has grown exponentially since 2001, when the last book was put together!  The amount of information available now compared to 20+ years ago is incredible.

 

Darrell Vanyo has been working with a researcher from Slovakia and has found some new information on our family and we are still working through these facts and trying to put this puzzle together as best we can.

 

I continue to work on this project.  The information from individual families is still wanted.  We're looking for pictures, family information (birth, wedding, death dates, children, places of these occasions, spouse information, including parents' information.  Stories are great!  If you have an update since sending in your information from last year, you are welcome to send them.

I can not say when this project will be complete, but I am determined that it will get done!  During the summer, I do need to put more time on our small hobby farm, but will continue to work on the book project throughout the summer! 

 

When this project is complete, and pricing is know, then I will contact those that have given me their names and contact information.  If you would like to be on that list please email Chuck at vanyo.chuck@gmail.com.  Please let me know if you are interested in just the addition or the original printing (2001) and the addition - full set.

 

I think the best approach for those that have shown in interest in sponsoring this project with a donation, I ask you to wait until we have some good numbers to work with for book size and copies to print.
